T1 Length of road section

This sign indicates the length of the road section where a sign applies. For example, the upper sign takes effect 200 meters after the sign and ends 800 meters from the location where the sign is placed.

T2 Distance

The sign indicates the distance to what the accompanying sign refers to.

T3 Distance to mandatory stop

This sign is used only under the Give way sign (B1) to inform about the distance to a location where a stop is mandatory.

T4 Safe width

The sign indicates the safe road width.

T5 Total weight

This sign indicates that the instruction on the sign applies to vehicles exceeding the specified total weight.

T6 Time indication

The sign shows when the instruction on the road sign it refers to applies. If times are used in combination with other conditions, the sign also indicates when these conditions apply. Black or white numbers without parentheses refer to weekdays except the day before Sundays and public holidays. Black or white numbers in parentheses refer to the day before Sundays and public holidays. Red numbers refer to Sundays and public holidays. If the time indication extends past midnight, it applies to the specified period after midnight the following day. If a specific day or weekday is stated, the regulation applies that day regardless of whether it is a weekday, Sunday, or public holiday. Note that, by law, an ordinary Saturday is usually considered a weekday.

T7 Disabled parking area

The sign indicates that the instruction on the sign it refers to applies to people with parking permits for the disabled. It is used only under the Parking sign (E19).

T8 Symbol panel

This sign indicates that the rule on the sign it refers to applies only to the type of vehicle or road user group indicated by the symbol on the sign. If a time indication is included, additional rules according to the panel Time indication (T6) also apply.

T9 Visually impaired

The sign warns that visually impaired individuals may be in the area. It always has a yellow background. Visually impaired individuals often use a white cane or may have a guide dog, often with a white leash.


T10 Hearing impaired

The sign warns that hearing-impaired individuals may be in the area. It always has a yellow background, and its purpose is to alert drivers to be extra attentive.


T11 Range

The sign indicates where the rule applies: Double-headed arrows mean the instruction applies on both sides of the sign. A downward arrow shows that the instruction ends. An arrow to the right or left shows the direction in which the instruction applies. If the sign is used under the sign Parking (E19), it has black symbols on a white background without a border. The signs can also be used separately to mark the boundaries of parking spaces in an area if it is clearly stated at the entrance that parking is allowed.


T12 Direction

This sign indicates the direction to what is indicated on the sign. The design of the sign is adapted to local conditions.


T13 All-roads have an obligation to give way

The sign indicates that all drivers at an intersection have an obligation to give way, regardless of which road they are entering from. It is used at intersections where all drivers must give way and is therefore placed at each approach to the intersection.


T14 All-roads have stop obligation

The sign indicates that all drivers at an intersection have a mandatory stop obligation, regardless of which road they are entering from. At such intersections, mutual consideration applies since there are no specific rules for who has the right of way. Drivers should coordinate by showing consideration, following turn-taking, and normally allowing the first to arrive at the intersection to drive first. Eye contact is a valuable tool to facilitate interaction between drivers.


T15 Direction of priority road

This sign indicates an intersection where drivers on roads marked with narrow lines must give way to traffic on roads marked with wide lines. The sign should be supplemented with a sign indicating an obligation to give way or to stop.


T16 Fee

This sign indicates that a fee must be paid for parking. The fee is specified on a parking meter, mobile app, or similar device, and the conditions stated there must be followed. Note that a time may be indicated with the panel Time indication (T6); in such cases, refer to the detailed rules for the Time indication panel.


T17 Parking disc

This sign indicates that parking time must be indicated with a parking disc or similar, which should be placed visibly inside the windshield. If parking occurs before the time limit begins, the disc is set to the time when the limitation starts.


T18 Permitted parking time

The sign indicates the maximum allowed parking time. Note that a time may be indicated with the panel Time indication (T6); in such cases, refer to the detailed rules for the panel Time indication.


T19 Residents

This sign indicates that residents with a specific permit may park under specified conditions. The text may include area designations or similar details. Note that a time may be indicated with the panel Time indication (T6); in such cases, refer to the detailed rules for the panel Time indication.


T20 Parking ticket

This sign indicates that parking is free of charge, but a parking ticket must be used if one wants to park. Note that a time may be indicated with the panel Time indication (T6); in such cases, refer to the detailed rules for the panel Time indication.


T21 Vehicle parking arrangement

The sign indicates how vehicles should be positioned in a parking space. It is designed based on local conditions.


T22 Text

This sign is used for supplementary information that cannot be conveyed with other additional panels. Note that a time may be indicated with the panel Time indication (T6); in such cases, refer to the detailed rules for the panel Time indication.


T23 Tunnel category

This sign is used under the sign Prohibition of traffic with dangerous goods (C9) and indicates the tunnel's category with the letters B, C, D, or E. Times may be indicated if applicable.


T24 Charging station

The sign indicates a location for charging electric vehicles. Only vehicles that can be externally charged are allowed to park here.


T25 Open 24 hours

This sign indicates that a service or restaurant is open 24 hours a day. It is used under the Service (H5) or Restaurant (H6) sign.
